As a clinical psychologist I have worked with people from all walks of life experiencing all kinds of unique struggles. From these experiences, I have come to value the opportunity to build genuine and meaningful connections with my clients and walk alongside them on their journey of self-exploration and growth. I prioritise safety in the therapy space to help people build upon their existing strengths, come to new understandings of themselves and the lenses through which they view the world, and equip them with the skills needed to navigate challenges to ultimately lead a life that is personally fulfilling. I aim to establish a warm, open and non-judgemental environment where clients feel heard and supported in whatever life challenges they are facing.

I am trained in and draw upon a range of treatment modalities, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Gottman Relationship Therapy. This knowledge base has enabled me to take a wholistic approach to therapy and allow for creativity and flexibility in order to tailor treatment to meet my clients’ individual needs.

I also work with couples, helping them identify and break through negative interactional cycles, heal from breaches of trust and crises, and to reconnect and rebuild a healthy relationship.

During my time working as a psychologist, I have found that building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients is the cornerstone of progress.

I am trained in working with children, adolescents and adults, however, have spent the last several years specialising in working with children and adolescents. I draw from and implement a wide range of treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parent-Child Interaction therapy (PCIT). When working with children and adolescents, I believe that building their understanding of their emotions, whilst providing them with functional skills can have a significantly positive impact of their personal, social, familial, and academic progress. When working with adults, I take a therapeutic approach of helping them understand their behavioural patterns and emotional processes that influence the way they interact with the world. I believe that understanding these influences can lead to changes in behaviours that align with their goals and values and provide an overall better quality of life.

I also administer and interpret neurocognitive tests to assess for cognitive and intellectual functioning (IQ), Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Disorders (including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Non-Verbal Learning Disorders), and testing for giftedness. As a particular interest area of mine, I believe that neurocognitive testing allows for a better understanding of how your brain processes and interprets information to ensure the most appropriate strategies and supports are implemented to allow for the best chance of success. My neurocognitive testing draws from gold standard assessments around the world and vary depending on the client and referral question. If you would like more information about neurocognitive testing, please contact us.
